Purposeful films, made possible

We create broadcast-quality films for the arts, culture and skills sectors.

But we know the most impactful content is often the most difficult to make.

So we’ve become experts in overcoming the biggest and most complex production challenges.

Need to involve underrepresented groups?

We do the deep research and community engagement to craft your story and find the ideal contributors. And if you want even more likes, shares and comments, we can even train people up to produce their own social content.

Got a complicated message for diverse audiences?

Whether it’s a TV-style show, film for a multi-layered campaign or a series of animations, we’ll keep it simple, relatable and fresh. And we’ll find ways to use your footage in various ways to give you the most value.

Want to film in multiple or unusual places?

With our in-house team and network of specialists, we can put together the perfect crew, kit and plan. From live streaming a choral concert in an ancient church to projecting on Tower Bridge, we’ve made it look amazing … and effortless.

Our decades of experience at the BBC and beyond mean we can handle every creative, technical and logistical aspect – from start to finish.

We’re a small, friendly team, here to make good things happen with film that moves people.

So you can trust us and our methods to put your ideas into motion.

The core team at Method comprises of Managing Director Leanne Tattum, Creative Director Matt Taylor and Community Manager Jen SandfordOur team of associate camera operators, directors of photography, animation director and colourist help us to fulfil every brief we take on, big or small, local or international.

Leanne Tattum

Managing Director

After a decade at the BBC there isn’t much Leanne doesn’t know about video production. She’s worked across most genres of programming, from daytime television to current affairs, and has produced flagship shows and award-winning documentaries for BBC 2 and BBC 4. Leanne now oversees pre-production and project manages all of Method’s output.

When she has a spare moment Leanne will be off brushing up on her tap dancing skills.

Matt Taylor

Creative Director

Matt has spent a career in film and video. Editor, director, film maker, he worked for over 10 years at the BBC on titles such as Coast and Countryfile and The Gadget Show. Matt particularly enjoys the challenge of live shoots and getting creative with project briefs from clients.

When Matt’s not working it’s all about the tunes! Going to gigs, putting on gigs and trying to impress (bore) people with his encyclopaedic knowledge of 80/90s indie and techno.

Dan Latham

Producer/Director

Dan’s happiest when he’s on location (or in the cinema!) Dan has produced/directed everything from branded content to short films and even the odd music video. With a keen eye for detail and an understanding of every aspect of the video production process, Dan’s the man to lead on your video project. He excels in making crew and clients feel at ease, possibly because they are laughing at his terrible jokes, but we’re proud that his hard work and dedication always shows in all of our finished work.

Jen Sandford

Community Manager

Jen worked in Birmingham’s indie TV industry, producing Broadcast Factual Entertainment programmes, for many years. She now manages Method’s social media, writing and producing content across all of the Method in Motion social channels. And this book, George Orwell’s Nineteen eighty-four, pretty much changed the world for her. In 1984!
